Set it up step by step

Download and verify
Download the ZIP and compare the SHA-256 above with your own (on Linux/macOS: shasum -a 256 askvela-shopware-1.0.0.zip). If they differ, do not install the file.

Upload it in the admin
Extensions → My extensions → Upload extension, then “Install” and “Activate”. On install, Shopware asks whether you consent to data being transferred to the domains the app declares — that is askvela.pro and nothing else.

Enter your widget key
Extensions → askVela AI chat → Configuration. Paste the key from askVela (Settings → Installation) and switch the chat launcher on. Configure each sales channel deliberately, then clear the storefront cache.

Logged-in customers
When a customer is signed in, the app passes their name, email, customer number and customer ID to askVela. Your team sees the person in the contact panel instead of “anonymous customer” — without the app needing any access to your customer records.

Connect your products
Create a complete product export in Google Merchant format including variants and add its direct HTTPS address in askVela under Products → Data sources. Check the column mapping and the preview before importing; add missing category links under Categories.

Add it to your consent banner
The app loads askVela on every page — only then are logo, colours and the greeting visible at all. Shopware's cookie management does not know the service on its own; add it there if you collect consent.

Disconnecting
Deactivate or uninstall the app and clear the storefront cache. Pause the catalogue source in askVela separately.

Yes. askVela is embedded on every Shopware page via snippet and works regardless of theme or plan.
02Do I need technical knowledge?
No. You add a short script (or use a plugin/an app) — that’s it. Setup takes just a few minutes.
03The upload fails with a Composer error — why?
Because of a hosting setting: your web server user is missing the HOME or COMPOSER_HOME environment variable that Shopware's extension manager needs. It affects every extension alike. Ask your host to set it and the upload goes through.
04What does it cost?
