Copy the script tag
In askVela, copy the script tag under Settings → Installation & tech → Embed widget → Other website.

Add it to Magento
Place the script tag in the head or footer of your store, for example through the design configuration in the Magento admin or directly in the theme. Then clear the cache.

Connect your catalog
Under Products, scan your store with “Scan from website”, or add a product export as a CSV or XML feed under Products → Data sources.
The website scan knows Magento
askVela runs in Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce through a script tag. The website scan knows Magento: it reads product data and recognizes availability from the stock block on the product page, so items in stock appear as product cards in the chat.
askVela reads your store's structured product data and sitemap. If availability is missing from the structured data, the scan recognizes it from the stock block of the Magento 2 product page. That way the AI only recommends what's in stock.
For large catalogs, also connect a product feed; askVela fetches it regularly, every six hours by default.
Order status in the chat
For order questions, connect askVela to an endpoint in your store that returns the orders for an email address as JSON, for example based on the Magento REST API. askVela signs every request (HMAC-SHA256); the AI answers with status, shipping and tracking link.

- askVela needs no Magento extension and no admin access.
- Product cards lead straight to the product page in your store.
- For purchase attribution in the dashboard, your store reports orders to askVela via a signed webhook.
